Carly’s Wedding In New Jersey Bride

Happy Wedding Wednesday everyone! We thought today would be the perfect day to share an ASE wedding that was featured in the Fall/Winter 2012 New Jersey Bride magazine. Carly and Brendan met on their first day at St. Lawrence University and were inseperable ever since. Seven years later, Brendan proposed to Carly on the beach and the rest was history! This wedding was extra special to ASE because Carly just so happens to be Allison’s daughter, and an event planner with ASE, of course! Carly and Allison worked together to dream up the perfect wedding day and it couldn’t have turned out better.

Carly’s wedding was quite the event… with a color pallet of pink and green, the possibilities were endless. Our favorite part of this wedding was the custom lighting in the tent designed by Allison herself. The surprise fireworks display was a close second for us though! There were so many little details that went into making this wedding great from the monogrammed pillows on the couches to the intracate detailing on the cake that matched Carly’s beautiful gown. Take a look at the article and make sure to pick up your own copy of New Jersey Bride, they have so many fantastic resources for brides to be!

Thursday: The Flowers

How are you all fairing in this heat? We would much prefer 80 degree weather so hopefully mother nature will decide to go back to that in a few days! We hope you’ve enjoyed wedding week so far, it’s hard to believe it is almost over already. Today we wanted to talk about the flowers. We find that this can often be a hot topic for brides. To splurge on the flowers or not to splurge? If these photos don’t convince you to invest in flowers we don’t know what will! Flowers can add so much texture to a wedding, it’s so important to have some color and texture to break up your reception tables. One of our favorite touches is adding flowers to the back of the bride and groom’s chairs, or flowers lining the sides of the aisle paving the way for the bride. Check out our favorite flowers as of late, arrangements like these are what will make your wedding really stand out!

Monday: The Groom

This week we are going to do a full week of wedding details. We’ve been finding so much great inspiration on Pinterest lately, we thought this would be the only way to get it all out to our readers! First off, let’s talk about the groom. First step in a wedding is finding the groom after all! We love the fashion for grooms coming through wedding blogs. It seems like the guys are choosing to step out of the box and away from the traditional tux (although we do love a classic black tux with bow tie). It also seems like they are willing to embrace the color, theme, and flowers. Love it!

Peachy Keen

Hope you all had a great weekend! One of our favorite color palettes for spring involves peach. We especially love peach flowers injected into bouquets or centerpieces of white, green, and pink. Check out some of our all time favorite peach wedding flowers. Would you consider peach as one of your wedding colors?

Edible Flowers

At ASE, we think that your wedding cake should be a part of your decor. It should absolutely be in keeping with the theme of your wedding and put on display as a centerpiece. One way we love to incorporate your cake into the reception is to add flowers, whether they are fresh or edible. So many bakers can make amazing sugar flowers that you may not be able to tell the difference!

Beautiful Blooms

We are so excited about the warm weather coming our way late this week. ASE is officially convinced that spring is here which of course means gorgeous color palettes for spring weddings! Flowers are already blooming and it gets us thinking about wedding inspiration. This spring, we are thinking our brides will be going for something a little unique when it comes to their flowers. Here are some of our favorites, most from the always amazing Style Me Pretty.

Pretty In Pink

We love pink weddings. So much so that Allison’s daughter was married last June in a gorgeous pink and green wedding! We wanted to share with you some of our pink wedding inspiration. Whether you are going for hot pink or pale pink, there’s something for everyone. Oh and we LOVE these two very, very pale pink gowns!
