As we are sure you all know by now, we love a good theme here at ASE. Any chance for us to decorate is welcomed by each member of our team. The 4th of July is one of our favorites. It’s great to have a holiday just when summer is gearing up to celebrate our great country. We also love a play on red, white, and blue, of course! How are you dressing your house, table, or desserts up for the holiday? Our flags are prepped and ready to fly next week!
Happy Wedding Wednesday! Today we wanted to show you some our favorite invites. Just like your wedding day wardrobe, your invitations should reflect the theme of your day. This will also help the guests get an idea of what they can expect. If you are having a casual wedding and expect your guests to dress that way, use non traditional wording and a fun font. If you’re having a black tie affair, use traditional/formal wording and consider embossing for a luxe effect. One of our favorites below is the second photo. If you’re having a destination wedding that requires an invitation suite with lots of little details, this is the way to do it! Consider adding touches that evoke the feel of the state, or country, you’re wedding will be held in.
Happy Friday! It’s another beautiful day in NJ/NYC, we’re so excited that the rain held off and everyone was able to enjoy some much needed sunshine! Today we wanted to talk about beach weddings. Brides often love the beach but are worried that their wedding will be more casual than they would like. Here at ASE, beach weddings can mean a chiffon gown, a groom in khakis, and barefoot guests but it can also mean a elegant black tie affair overlooking a beach. There are so many venues, especially in New Jersey, that can offer both of those options. Here are some examples of just that.
We are in summer mode over here at ASE and we won’t let the rain ruin the mood! We were able to relax over the long weekend and we are now taking these summer weddings and events by the horns. Check out some of our favorite wedding tablescapes, perfect for summer!
Happy Memorial Day everyone! I hope that you all enjoy your day off but keep in mind why we celebrate this day. So many of us head to the beach or to family BBQs and forget to stop and think about the sacrifices so many men and women made for us. Thank you to all of our branches of the military for sacrificing to keep us safe! We wanted to share with you some great Memorial Day decor and recipe ideas that we are using for our BBQ later today. Enjoy!
Happy Friday! We are so excited for our second installment of ASE loves. One of our favorite things at ASE is getting our clients invitations into the office. When we see them in person after the design process, we are always overjoyed at the outcome. Your wedding invitation sets the tone for your entire wedding, and gives the guests a first peek into you and your future husband’s big day! Here are some of our favorite invites that evoke the particular wedding’s aesthetic perfectly.
Yesterday we talked about the spring trends for brides, but what about the ladies standing beside you? Your bridesmaid’s dresses are very important to the entire look of your wedding. It’s also critical that your girls love the dress they have to wear and that they are comfortable, since they’ll be wearing it all day! Sometimes it’s hard to capture each of your bridesmaid’s individual style, but these dresses are sure to please. Our two favorite spring bridesmaid trends are chiffon gowns and blue tones. Ever think about making your bridesmaids your “something blue”? We love the idea!
Here at ASE we work with a lot of clients with very different needs and wants for their event day. Across the board though, we have noticed that they love dessert bars. Whether a corporate event, fundraiser, sweet sixteen, mitzvah, or wedding we find ourselves styling more and more tables of sweets! We love incorporating the color scheme and theme of a wedding into the candy choices; like taffy for a wedding at the shore, hot chocolate for a winter wedding, football shaped cookies for a Superbowl party, or all pink candy for a Barbie themed sweet sixteen. Check out some of our all time favorite dessert bars:
Happy Friday! This week just flew by, didn’t it? We are very excited for the holiday weekend and the spring weather all around NYC. It was cold this morning but it’s sure making up for it this afternoon! Here is some great inspiration for a spring wedding filled with gorgeous aqua details. We’re obsessed!
Allison loves to decorate her home every holiday. For Christmas there is pine roping all around the fence, for St. Patrick’s Day a shiny shamrock on the door, and for Easter lots and lots of pastel colors and dyed eggs of course! This year, the first year we are on Pinterest, we are finding tons of inspiration for Easter decor. Allison’s house will surely be decked out for this Sunday!
